The Wednesday Night Dart League (WNDL), established 1990, is an independent dart league. Located between East Hartford, Moodus and Columbia, Connecticut, the WNDL has 16 teams with a maximum roster of 12 players each. Current membership is 150. Match format is six 301 singles, three cricket doubles and two three-man 601s. Our season runs 22 weeks from October thru March with playoffs in April.
There are two "equal" Divisions of 8 teams each. All WNDL teams are considered equal in that there are no A, B, C divisions and thus beginners have the opportunity to play the best the league has to offer.
Point system is one point per man per leg, meaning singles are worth 1 point each, cricket 2 points and so on, for a total of 18 points per match. Accumulated points are used to determine team rank. Wins, Loses and Ties are informational only. Most points at the end of season is declared divisional champion. Playoffs are intradivisional, 1st vs 4th, 2nd vs 3rd until one team is left from each division. These two teams play for the league championship. Playoffs matches are what amount to back-to-back regular matches, first team to 19 points wins. This year the league may open the playoffs to all 16 teams.
