This was my second Ton Eighty of the season and a complete heart breaker. I was playing a singles 501 game in the NYDO Monday Night Fall League at our home bar, Biddy's Pub. I had 177 to go and hit the first two "treb 20's" leaving me 57 to go. No way to go out in this throw and I should have gone south and hit the 17 but my brain froze and as I threw the last dart I jumped up and screamed "NOOOO!" as it stuck in the triple 20. It was the "Ton Eighty that Never Was"! It may not have counted but both teams saw it, and did not let up on me about it there of the night. At least it was all good natured.
Oh and I did win that game.
